While raining yesterday, we had a umbrella fashion show here at The Taylors! Stephen appeared on the runway with a very upscale Sistine Chapel umbrella! Beau and Dillan choose a fun and sporty Scotty Dog umbrella! Most importantly...everyone stayed dry! Please feel free to send me pictures of you with your umbrella! Red Wrought Iron Pots!

My Dear Friend Kerri gave me two of these really great pots...they had belonged to her Mom....We love them! We spray painted them red and they are now home to some pretty flowering Hibiscus! Thanks Kerri!

I just downloaded The Story Of Edgar Sawtelle to my new Kindle 2!! It took me about two seconds! I'm looking forward to reading this Oprah favorite! Stephen has a new book too! He had to take a shower, get dressed, get into the car and drive all the way to Border's! Then he had to find a parking space and walk inside and browse around, pick a book and stand in line and pull out his wallet! He choose 386 pages of a paperback book (shout out to green people...what a waste of paper)!!! 7th Heaven by James Patterson for 14.99! We will, of course, recycle it @ a garage sale for 25 cents or donate it to Good Will for the tax receipt!!!

Fancy Ladies Of Pasadena Get Wrapped!

We all love and know Megan for her inner & outer beauty, her loving ways, her incredible kindness and for her cheerfulness when presented with challenging situations! BUT, did you know that she is the most clever & talented & creative human on this fabulous earth? She wrapped some presents for her dear friend Paige to take to a chic baby shower in Pasadena last weekend and what do you think? They went absolutely nuts by her talents! From what I hear...her name and number was passed around like hot peanuts! Could someone PLEASE print up some business cards for our dear Megan? We are so proud of Megan....so proud!

Home is where you begin again to dream again! Feeling some springtime blues? There's nothing like planting some bulbs into the earth and then waiting patiently...glad for everyday the sun shines and for the rain...then something so beautiful emerges with all the grandeur of the dream! I dug in the dirt again today and I'm proud of my chipped nails...I'll go to the nail salon another day!

November 25th...I'm 5 months old today!

Every day my Grandparents are amazed about what I can do! I had some shots on Thursday but I got through the whole cranky stuff! I'm the happiest camper baby! I'm Dillan Grace Taylor! I Am A TAYLOR! Who remembers the shots? Not me....I know how to move on!
And it's true....baby's are resilient!

My Sister Jill Comes For Lunch @ Queenies!

I had a little photo-gene fun with this photo! Aunt Jill (my older sister from El Reno Oklahoma) came to have lunch with me on Friday! I had an even older sister named Ann who passed away...this is my now only sis! She is just loving and crazy and a bubbling brook! We walked up to Utica Square to the famous "Queenies" to have the chicken salad sandwich! Caught up on all the happenings amongest our families! She has two grandchildren that are turning 2 years old, Ella & Wyatt...she gave me lot's of good grandma advice! I love her! And I bless her every day for the care she gives "Garnie" (My Mom & Grandma to Meg & Beau)...who is in a nursing home :( Happy Anniversary Guys!)

Stephen's Getting A New Knee Soon!

He's finally consented to having knee replacement on his left knee! Stephen meets with Dr. Scott Dunitz on May 15th and will be scheduled for surgery sometime in June!!! He's been in constant pain for so long....I'm so proud of him! Go to...

Walter Worms His Way Into Beverly Hills!!!!

Walter McGreggor arrived safely to the city of Angels and has "wormed" his way into every one's heart! Megan called me about seven this morning (five a.m. West Coast time)...Tim was outside with Walter...taking a early morning break! (So begins the life of a couple with a puppy} So very often surprises don't turn out with so many people being jubilant and full of instant love and happiness! I'm glad this one was all of that and more! Walter is in good hands now and will probably be the greatest dog that ever walked this earth, besides our Petuka! Here's To Walter!
FYI: Walter was given the worm pill the day before he arrived...if you get my drift and have ever owned a puppy!

Where In The World Is Walter?

Such exciting happenings have taken place this past weekend without a certain Megan Meredith Taylor being privy! The handsome Tim Root conspired with Stephen and I to find the perfect "Walter McGreggor" scottish terrier puppy for Megan...a early birthday present from Tim! We found Walter at a nice young couples home, where we were able to see Mom & Pop! Walter has been hanging out with us since Saturday....mostly in the pack & play! He went to the vet yesterday and got the okay to head to his new home in Beverly Hills! I dropped Walter @ AA cargo early this morning and he arrives @ LAX 11:30 to be greeted by his new owner! Tim is "surprising Megan"...I'm sure we can check out her blog for all the exciting details later!!
A funny little side note: Cargo had 20 crates of roosters being sent to Hawaii? I arrived at sunrise..imagine the noise? Also a goat was being sent to Florida...Walter got to ride along with the goat as far as Dallas!

Dillan's World Wind Weekend!

Abuelo and I saw Dillan everyday last week and so this Monday afternoon...you can imagine...we were really missing her! Beau brought her over for just a few hours but MOST importantly....We checked out the BabyTaylor Blog and saw that she had the most fun filled weekend of any of us! It's very fun to skip over to other blogs!

Two Angels!

I have the greatest life :)!!! In a few weeks I get to fly to the City of The Angels and spend time with these two "ANGELS"!! My beautiful darling Megan and the intelligent & handsome Tim Root! I'm looking forward to a In and Out cheeseburger as soon as I get off the plane! Animal style! I'm looking forward to seeing their really cool apartment! I'm looking forward to seeing the amazing Pacific Ocean! Mostly, I'm looking forward to just "hanging out" with them because they are fun! Never under rate "FUN"!!

I have the best life :)! Stephen brought home this morning, not just one, not just two, not just three, not just four but five Double Knockout Rose bushes!!!! While I was at the gym, he planted all of them! What a great green thumbed guy!

Flip Video (my latest new device)...this is the very first video I took...Stephen was very sad about a young up and coming baseball player that had just been killed in a car accident! Nick had just pitched 6 or 7 shut out innings for the Angels and was driving home to Manhattan Beach...our old stomping ground! Look for alot more fun videos!

Crazy Outfits...

Miss Dillan Grace came over again today with a wild outfit on! It was just LOL, as Beau intended! But she is adorable even in the most outrageous outfits! Abuelo held Dillan up above his head today while going goo-gah, and she drooled onto his forehead! She has marked him for life!

How Did We End Up Keglers On Good Friday?

We were up and ready to go rent a boat for a lake excursion this morning....but after a roaring night of lightning and thunderstorms, the lake was choppy and quite frankly, it was a wee bit chilly and I didn't bring my fur coat! Not having been bowling for 8 years (Trade Express Xmas Party Pismo Beach,CALIFORNIA)..we opted for bowling over boating! P.S. Despite the really creepy shoes and the fact that I pulled out my sanitizing wipes every few minutes, BOWLING IS THE BOMB! We should all invest in our own shoes & ball and join a league with friends!

Camp Town Races Sing This Song...All The Do Dah Day!

Stephen and I are heading to Hot Springs in the morning for what we think will be just the loveliest four days of spring! We are sorry we will be missing all the festivities of Easter that always include family and friends...have fun hunting eggs and listening to the Alleluias! This two dollar show better says, "Always bet on the Beau"!

Grandma Tay Memoirs!

It's been two precious days in a row that Dillan has come to visit! Dillan and I took a walk in the stroller and paraded around the neighborhood with our wee scotty dog, Petuka! Of course the "buzz" on South St. Louis Ave is the new baby! Dillan has met most of our amazing neighbors...the oohs & aahs are as loud as the bells of Utica Square! She cuddled for a bit with neighbor Ann...who puts our paper at the front door each and every morning while out walking her dog Annie! Beau took some snap shots of us before he dashed off to work! Yesterday I introduced Dillan to Beethoven's Symphony No.5: Allegro con brio! A MUST download from your Itunes store! At just a little over four months her little arms moved around just like she was conducting!

Take Me Out To The Ballgame!

Following a winter of worry about whether the recession would damage attendance....Major League Baseball returned across the nation Monday! Yesterday ranks higher in excitment for Stephen than Christmas, New Year's, Our wedding anniversary, his birthday, my birthday....more than any day of the year! Dillan came over to watch the Mets beat the Reds with Abuelo up in the new media room! Not to rub it in your nose Stephen but...Emilio Bonifacio became the first player in 41 years to hit an inside-the-park home run on Opening Day! He had four hits, scored four runs & stole three bases!

The "Shape" Of Things To Come......

My gym membership lapsed on Dec. 18th and my plan was to start back in the New Year...then I broke my ankle! Now three months later...I'm happy to say I'm back! I really like this gym because it's just for us "girls"! No sweaty guys!

More Grandmas Are On The Way....

Check out Brooke's blog...an expectant mother- to- be in Montana! Her blog is so cool! My best friend "Kerri" went up for the baby shower! We all know that Brooke and Peter are having a baby girl...yeah...the surprise will be her name! Jim and Kerri have rented a house for the month of May to be with the precious baby! I know from experience...it's going to be wonderful having a grandchild!

Between Gina & Patty & Janie....Dillan is bound to have the most loving childhood! All of these pictures were taken when Beau and Kim took their wedding vows! Three gorgeous grandmas! Stephen and I feel so excited that we married... along with Beau... into the nicest family of all time! They are all sooooooooo nice! Which makes sense...Kim was obviously raised by extremely loving folks! Kim and Beau really have a great "Grandma Crew" to help out whenever needed!

LEON'S IN THE RESTLESS RIBBON

We met up with Beau, Pete (Stephen's Brother) and Kathie (our fabulous sister-in-law) at the Famous Leon's In The Restless Ribbon! .... to watch some hoops... the Michigan State/ UConn basketball game! As might be expected we engaged in a wager, we took underdog Michigan State and the 4 & half points...Pete & Kathie took the favorite, UConn! The LOSER got to have the pleasure of footing the bill! We all dined on sliders, wings, Marshall Ale & chardonnay! Needless to say, Stephen came home with a heavier wallet than his brother Pete :) All in good fun......

LOOK OUT, HERE I COME....

I am so ecstatic to announce that Stephen finally booked my ticket to Beverly Hills adjacent! I'm flying into LAX on Thursday May 7th and will be spending a full three days with my beloved daughter Megan and the handsome Tim Root! I will leave early on Monday May 11th to return to green country! My heart aches everyday for Meg...it's so hard being away from someone you love so much! Saying good bye won't be so bad when I leave because we are meeting up with the adorable couple a month later in the fabulous city of Chicago! Here's to the days, hours, minutes and seconds until I see you Meg!
