I have recently been pulling the nape back at my cute little ear lobes! When you do...you can pull away the wrinkles on one's neck...How young would I look if I only had a "clip and tuck"? Oh, my...and this was the person that wanted so desperately to grow old gracefully! Then I encountered this mirror that Kerri had given me....and then I took a profile shot of our Dillan....maybe the lines on our necks are like the rings on a tree...they tell a story...and it begins at birth! I will look at my lovely neck in a new way now!! I will OWN it!

Now that your eyes have re-adjusted..Our friends got pretty BLURRED when Stephen's impending knee operation came up in the conversation! All kidding aside...Stephen met with his doctor and his knee replacement surgery is scheduled for June 29th! However he is having second thoughts and seems to be seeking every one's advice! Lynne had her knee replaced over a year ago and Tricia's husband, Jerry had both knees replaced four years ago! Lynne's fiance (Sir Dr. Lawrence Mansur) a famous bone and joint doctor said, "Make sure you really want this, because there's no going back!!!" To knee or not to knee, that is the question!

Oh Dillan.....We Missed You So!

Dillan was our afternoon delight!

Last Wednesday, Stephen came down with a cold and I left for Los Angeles...so we hadn't seen our sweet grandbaby for a full 7 days! It was a joyous reunion! I had a box of rice cereal & new rubber tipped little spoons ready for the day we could start spoon feeding!! And that's exactly what we did! Stephen held her and I fed her and then we switched and Stephen got to feed her while I held her!!! If any of you out there doubt that this was the funnest thing ever....you need to find a baby to feed!!

Dear Omaira, What's With The Mask? Are You The 1st Swine Flu Victim In Tulsa?

Omaira is our dear friend and happily comes to our home every two weeks to help me keep on top of things...she's been with us for four years or more! So imagine when she pulled out the mask recently when she started cleaning!!!! No swine flu here...just springtime allergies making her especially sensitive to dust! Omaira has the nicest little boy named Christian...I'll try and get a snap shot of him this summer! He has an inquiring mind and the happiest smile!

My Mother's Day In The City Of Angels!

Meg & Tim really needed a dresser...We found one! The Rose Bowl is amazing! I have been to lots of flea markets in my lifetime...this one was ultra huge! I lost a few lbs in fluids...it was hot! Thanks to Meg...I finally experienced the Rose Bowl Flea Market! We found the perfect dresser...to go into the turquoise bedroom!


As you all know that I am on the search for the perfect cheeseburger! Meg took me to the # 1 rated burger place in all of greater Los Angeles! Pie n Burger!!! Loved it! Thanks for a great visit! I couldn't have had a better Mother's Day...and Tim gave me a great hug....Tim's the greatest! And seeing sweet little Walter was the best! They are really good puppy owners! I might start a separate blog just about cheeseburgers?

Cool Breezes On The Balcony!

It's just the beginning! We had such fun this weekend...astro turf on the floor of the balcony...new green chairs and table, lots of fun plants and loving objects! A tranquil place to be after a long day of hard work...and they both deserve a place like this...we all do! It's easy to create that special place...just for your own well being!

Tabatha is Meg's friend and they have alot in common...she was born in Kansas and Meg was born in Okalahoma! They met through Paige, who was born in Texas! Dear sweet Tabitha is the salt of the earth, most beautiful and we "Taylors" love her! Meg and I love her spirit of adventure! She recently moved into a loft in downtown Los Angeles! How cool is that!

Pete & Kathie Taylor Take On Italy!

The little town of Varenna, this picture was taken from the ferry to Bellagio! Pete and Kathie loved Bellagio! They spent the first four days in Sorrento, down south of the Amalfi coast! Two days in Rome touring St. Peter's! They ended up in Lake Cormo at a little town called Varenna, very quaint! This was their second trip to Italy...their daughter Morgan spent a semester in Rome studying! Obviously they were enticed to go back for more Italian hospitality!

It's True! Kim's IPHONE Dreams Have Come True!

Dillan is so proud of her Daddy for making Kim's IPHONE dreams come true! It's her first Mother's Day and if anyone deserves a IPHONE, it's our beautiful daughter in law! Mother's Day is this coming Sunday! Order the flowers, get or make a Mother's Day card for that special Mom in your life! And follow Beau's lead and buy her a IPHONE!
(p.s. Both Stephen and I have IPHONES and absolutely love them! The only stock we own is APPLE...so naturally we love when people get IPHONES! The wave of the future!)

Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers first got us in the mood back in the 1930's & 1940's! I came across this statue back in my garage sale days! It was a trophy a couple had won at the Fred Astaire dance studio...pretty cool...it's been dancing on a shelf for many years at the Taylor home! I GIVE YOU THE DANCE....

One of many lovely Xmas presents from Stephen...tickets to Fleetwood Mac! We started our special date by going to dinner at a fancy restaurant!
We don't really have the famous "black" card, maybe someday? You have to be superb rich or superb famous...we do have a platinum American Express card! Good enough to get us reservations at the famous "Chalkboard" restaurant downtown in the renovated Ambassador Hotel, built at the turn of the last century!

Close to 14,000 Fleetwood Mac fans showed up last night! The concert was fabulous! To our left was the stage and to our right were the two men who did the closed captions for the hearing impaired...if you ever get a chance to see a rock concert in sign language, well it was AMAZING! In fact, it was beautiful! Thank You Stephen for a wonderful evening!

So Max is driving home with his college buddies from a fun filled Royals baseball game in Kansas City and he hit a deer and totaled his car! Max and friends were fine (don't know about the deer?) Max attends The University of Arkansas in Fayetteville Arkansas...GO HOGS!

Bird Lovers....Mine That Bird!

The Kentucky Derby Winner...The new Seabiscuit of this century!
Mine That Bird swept to victory in the 135th Kentucky Derby! Triumphing over a sloppy track @ Churchhill Downs in the second biggest upset in Derby history! Stephen got his money back and then some with the Pioneer Of The Nile, who came in 2nd! And with my horse being scratched...I Want Revenge...we got the two dollar bet back...and we came out $2.00 ahead! Big Derby Winners! Hope you all saw the race and the hats and the hoopla...it was great!

I Love Lynne!!!!!

Lynne is the best friend anyone could have! She is everything and more a friend could be...I love her so much! My last birthday she gave me the most unusual gift of my lifetime! A BOX OF BULLETS! 9 milometers! Being creative...I thought they looked cool on the coffee table in a sterling silver dish! FYI...we have never owned guns! I never even liked Beau having a squirt gun!

Stephen is really liking this Thoroughbred! He laid the money down at Fair Meadows this afternoon! I like "I Want Revenge"!!!! Of course I only have a two dollar show ticket on this guy...I may be destined to win twenty cents! Enjoy the Kentucky Derby tomorrow @ 6:24 East Coast time on NBC! Don't forget to wear your favorite hat!

Gail..."My Kindred Soul" Girlfriend!

Everybody meet Gail Troxell! We have been friends since Camden (her daughter) and Megan were in first grade together! Then we moved to sunny California....but we came back and picked up right where we had left off! She is a skilled nurse up at St. John's hospital which is a few blocks away, across from Fashionable Utica Square! We meet quite often for lunch... We went to "Peppers" today, a Tex Mex place in the Square! Gail and I like the same books & TV shows and we always seem to just laugh through our lunches together! Her Daughter Camden is expecting a baby in September with her husband, Matt (a great American Indian Artist} Gail is married to the nicest guy ever, Larry! I especially like him because he thinks I look like a particular movie star! They own a ranch out side of town with horses and chickens and a pool and a veggie garden! Instead of meeting whenever...we decided today we will try and meet the first Friday of each month! All of you, please make an effort to do the same with your own dear friends once a month, if possible!
