Addicted To Ancestry.com?

Megan & I simultaneously worked on our computers on Sunday evening researching my Grandmother "Mimi's" side of the family! Her parents came to Oklahoma during the famous land rush and settled in Canadian County ... her birth name was Cecil Maude Bruce!
Meet my ancestor! Mr. Braveheart himself! Sir Robert De Bruce King of Scotland!

We traced the Bruce family all the way back into the 800's a.d.... even beyond Sir Robert! There were more kings and a few countesses & duchesses! All this was inspired by the new TV show, "Where Do You Come From"???

Megan previously traced Stephen's grandmother's family on the Taylor side all the way back to the 1400's in Germany!
It's all so very fascinating!

Who do you look up to more, your Mom or your Dad?

I look to both of them in totally different ways. My Mom is compassionate, sweet, outgoing, very stylish, aggressive in all the right ways...and thinks way out side the box. She has always encouraged me to be unique, creative and artistic.

My Dad is so dry and witty and smart. He gives solid practical advice when my Mom's advice is more whimsical and involves a poem. My Dad will never let you down-he is the hardest working man around and has never complained that he has to hold us all up. They are both great!
