Just Missing Our Little Dillan

Chickie Baby! Dillan Knows She Was Brought To Us From Santa Claus!

P.S. Don't say a word! We have told Dillan that Santa Claus brought Chickie Baby To Love All Of Us! Santa Claus brought her to us because we are the "Taylor's .... Santa brought her to love and watch over us.... a sweet Chickie Baby!
Our sweet kitten does love Dillan.... as all of us do! When Dillan is here she follows her everywhere!!!
Our first Christmas ... Stephen bought me the Kangeroo stuffed animal with the baby in the pouch :) It was made in England..... I cherish it and we didn't even have Megan in our pouch until three years later!

It's Nice To Know.....

Dillan got her flu shot!!! Stephen got his too! I guess I had better get mine.... and you all should too!

Lunching Again :)

Janie & Omaira
There's this cool place down on the river called The Blue Rose Cafe! It has outside seating overlooking the river.... unfortunately the river just wasn't flowing.... But the three of us had fun catching up! Of course, I had to try out the cheeseburger :)

With friend Omaira & sister in law, Kathie!
Omaira just recently moved to Seattle to be with the man of her dreams! She came back to town to wrap up her affairs.... we just needed to catch up on her new exciting life on the west coast!
The crazy thing about it all was that Stephen & I were meeting his brother Pete & Kathie for dinner that evening @ Wolfgang Pucks in Brookside just a few hours later! Just a side note..... I love, love, love Kathie! I have been very blessed that she has been in my life and in our family!
I could have breakfast, lunch & dinner with her and we would never be lacking in conversation:)

Missing Dillan :(

We haven't seen her for almost three weeks and we are so very sad!

What A Cute Picture! Megan & Zach :)

They are in a frenzy to get ready for the most fabulous vacation to Maui!!!! Wow! We were set to go too but life & business came between us joining them! Wishing everyone going a most serene time in the tropics of the islands!

Lynne & I Go Back To The Early 1970's....

I had such a pleasure seeing Lynne on Thursday .... she called on her way into town and wanted to know if we could grab some lunch! I couldn't refuse and I do love having lunch with girlfriends! We met at our old haunt "Ron's" and had a delightful time catching up..... the only down side was that we missed Kerri, who is somewhat permanently staying up in Montana for reasons that we totally understand :) i.e. Grand child! Having friends is a gift from God! Enjoy them and see them when you can!
We are looking forward to Kerri coming back to Tulsa soon :) And Lynne is one of the most AMAZING friends you could have!

The Young Cable Guy Was Confused? Could Ironing Be Extinct?????

I spent a good two days of catching up on my ironing! Does not ANYONE iron much any more? The young cable guy was definitely confused to see an ironing board & the iron set up?
Surely people still iron? I know I just can't be a dinosaur with the ironing?
It's very soothing when you are watching a movie or what ever you pre recorded! IRONING IRONING...archaric
substitute for the dry cleaners? NEVER NEVER!

Just Do It Everyone!!!!!!

I'm sorry but ... you all need to clean out closets.... it can be disturbing, even creepy guys! Buy it must be done!
Santa says, "He's sees you when you're sleeping, he knows when you're awake" So be good for goodness-sake! Clean out your closets everyone!
It's not spring cleaning now, it's "Falling Into Order" time!

Rotisserie League Results 2011....

Last year Stephen came in FIRST and this year he came in 2nd with a purse of $1,500! If you can't be 1st then hey, SECOND is pretty sweet! Congratulations to my almost perfect husband and the love of my LIFE! Literally.... hey, I married this handsome man when I was only 19 years old!

REFRESHMENTS ABOUND....

We have a crazy some what normal life BUT we are definitely refreshing!

Rescue Dogs..... Love Abounds

Annie lives two doors down from our house and was rescued by our neighbor Ann! Even when our children were young I always thought it was important for the children to know who lives nearby and for the neighbors to know our kids, and now our grand child! Sweet Dillan Grace Taylor :)

Yes, I shout it from the roof tops on my blog but most importantly I shout it out all over Terwilleger Heights! I'm the creepy Grandma that yells "slow down" when Dillan is out front playing! She's had so much fun hanging out with the kids on the street!

Slowly but surely all of our friends on the street know who Dillan Grace Taylor is .... and what's most important is.... that she is beloved and a part of the next generation on the street! She might be one of the first but everyone really gets it.... The Grand Kids Are Coming! To the GREATEST neighborhood, established in the 1920's! South St. Louis Ave!

Dillan is so totally in love with Hayden next door, he's 8 years old :) We haven't seen our sweet Dillan for 7 days & 7 nights and I am beginning to miss her so very much!
Cross your fingers for us ... divorce is some times really extremely sad for the Grandparents!

WELCOME FRIENDS & FAMILY

Hanging under this little shelf in our entry way is an emergency flashlight, a really cool Sistine Chapel umbrella, a crazy Frida Kahlo grab bag, a mink headband and room for all sorts of other stuff! A hook to place your hat & scarf and definitely an area that we will greet you with all the love and laughter we Taylors can share!

Yes, You Will Have Good Luck & Cheer In Our Taylor Paradise!

The silly rocks at our front door!

Lighting Up Our Historic Neighborhood...

We have been so lucky!!!! Sooooo LUCKY! All street lamps in our area are being replaced by these GREAT gas lamps! Most of the homes were built in the 1920's so we have been blessed .... thank you to whom ever is responsible!
P.S. Our neighborhood area has been put on the top ten list of best places to live in "Historic" areas in the USA! Pretty cool!!!

Some Of The Ladies Of Terwillager Heights

About 6 of us got together for a neighborly luncheon today!

Obviously 2 left before I pulled out my camera! We dined up in Fashionable Utica Square at Stone Horse just two blocks from our homes!

We laugh, chit chat about what's happening in our neck of the woods & voice our concerns & delights!

We have a fabulous Neighborhood Watch Group which has really made us all aware about our surroundings without being "nosy neighbors"! That's a really good thing!

Taylor Cacti

Yes, it's true ... Stephen and I enjoy collecting these prickly plants :)

cactus |ˈkaktəs|
noun ( pl. -ti |-tī; -tē| or -tuses )
a succulent plant with a thick, fleshy stem that typically bears spines, lacks leaves, and has brilliantly colored flowers

Pail in Comparison...

Our very cool pail just got a pretty new variegated plant to spruce up a very cozy nook!

Taylors Wear Funny Socks!

While watching Toy Story 3 for what seems like the millionth time!

The Time Has Come.......

Last Christmas my dear, dear friend Kerri gave me the sweetest sheep soap! At the time, I just couldn't bring myself to use them for their original purpose..... but alas they are now headed into the bathing areas of our humble abode! Thanks Kerri!

A Chocolate Point Siamese Cat Named Chickie Baby!

We have been letting Chickie Baby out back once a day to enjoy the beautiful Autumn days!
Her one year birthday is coming up in a few weeks :)
