A Simple Pleasure... A Picnic!

 Spreading out a blanket on the lush green lawn and having a picnic has become a springtime pleasure for The Taylors!

It's Wednesday ... Our Favorite Day Of The Week!

Why? Because we'll get to see Dillan! Even while grocery shopping at Whole Foods (frog ball) or picking up a prescription at Walgreens (Sesame St. Video).... she's never far from our thoughts & hearts!

Saying goodbye to Megan was so sad at the airport but........

We had such fun with her over the long weekend and we enjoyed a family brunch!

Megan came to Tulsa to help with Ashley's baby shower and she ended up doing EVERYTHING because I was under the weather! Thank you dear daughter! She also came to spend time with Stephen before he had his hip replacement! They went on a Daddy/Daughter date to the movies and for sushi :)

Ashley's Baby Shower Was Tickled Pink!

All of the families got together to celebrate the next baby in all of our lives! Ashley's family from Kellyville are the most close knit family and were so warm and loving! Everyone that came was somehow related to Baby Girl Taylor and the gifts were generous ... some were homemade and everything was so thoughtful! I was so blessed to meet all of her Great Grandparents! Wonderful, wonderful people! Dillan has been hanging out with them and they LOVE LOVE her (who wouldn't?) They all brought gifts for Dillan in case she would be there, that was sweet! Baby Girl Taylor is literally stuck on one side of Ashley's Baby Bump so we already know she'll be pretty little! She has a heart shaped uterus? I was so happy to meet Ashley's little sister and see the love between them because I imagine that is how it will be with Dillan and her new baby sister someday!
Megan flew in from California for the Shower and most importantly to hang out with her Dad before his hip replacement surgery! The only really sad thing about last weekend was that Megan couldn't see Dillan, her sweet little niece! I think that is where hearts are broken sometimes? It just was not Beau's weekend to have Dillan.....
Maybe we can start changing things like that because it should be about what's best for Dillan!

Stephen Has A New Left Hip!!!!!!!

Stephen went in on Tuesday for a full hip replacement on his left side!!! Everything went quite well except for a very scary moment after the surgery when Stephen's heart rate dropped into the mid 30's and a zillion doctors & nurses rushed in to get his heart beating faster! He came home this evening and I'm now officially, "Nurse Jane"! He's resting comfortably in our master bedroom! Thank Goodness I bought him a new IPad .... his was stolen last week! He's so sweet, I love him so much and now his everyday life will be better and pain free! Thank you everyone for your best wishes and prayers!

Our New Awnings:) Our New Copper Rain Solution:)

Take note of the new copper rain gutters and drain ... super cool! We picked a delightful stripe awning with the plum/ eggplant color as the main stripe ... this matches our arched front door!

I can't remember when I was this excited about a home improvement escapade! Coming into our lovely home from either the front door or the back during a rain or snow storm always left us unprotected! We already had two awnings and we now have overhead coverage at both of our entrances and ... I think it looks just absolutely sweet! Dillan said the word "adorable"!

When improving our homes, so often they are not visual improvements.... I'm still giddy about the awnings & copper rain guttering!

I Pledge Allegiance To The Flag!

Months & Months ago we taught Miss Dillan to say the pledge! She made us laugh because she would spy an American flag and insist that we take the pledge! Which we have done for soooo many months.... With Liberty And Justice For All!!!!! Our drive from from Fashionable Utica Square to Kinder Care .... we see the flags, the horses and turkeys etc.... But God Bless Dillan for always seeing the flags! And for always making us take the pledge with our hand over our heart! For All....... She know's something even at 3 years old!

About ten years ago Megan insisted that Dad buy me a really nice purse! I'd been carrying an old sachel leather thing from Gap for around 20 years! (Which I loved, by the way) Since then I have been happy to be the owner of some mighty fine hand bags! It's been about two years now but I now have this really cool Michael Kors bag!!! Thank you Stephen! And thank you for the perfume (Juicy Couture) and for all of your love! And yes, I do love having really fun hand bags! So blame it on Megan (he he) not me!

Dillan Loves To Get Out My Hats.....

And eat yummy fruits & veggies at the table! Beau and Kim might be upset that we let her do all sorts of things but they are always just fun and curious things ... and we try and teach her a lesson about everything! We just take a nice slow time for her to discover and understand! By the way, she's brilliant! She's great at all sorts of things .... mostly understanding, especially when you explain things on her level! From the emotions she's feelings.... to why and why not about all sorts of things! If you look into her eyes you KNOW she has the sweetest & loving soul.... a bit mischievous! (But both Kim & Beau have a sweet mischievous nature too) She's lucky to have such incredible parents that both give her their love and then some!
