TOM AND DANNA....HAPPY 25TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY!!!

Our friends from the central coast of California, Tom & DAnna Lawson celebrated 25 years of wedded bliss! They tied the knot up on Look Out Mountain in Colorado and have been living happily ever after! Congratulations Guys!
DAnna and my older sister Ann were BF's and cheerleaders for the Henryetta Hens!! They were cute chicks!!!

THE LAKERS WIN THE WORLD CHANPIONSHIP !

How sweet was Megan to bring Daddy a Laker's Flag when we met in Chicago? We thought it was stolen when he went up to Utica Square..BUT I jumped into the Mini Cooper....Flagged downed the Security Guard....And we found it!!! As you know...we have been following the Lakers! We are so happy they won! Yo!!!

Dillan Yesterday, Dillan Today, Dillan Yesterday............

When are Dear Grand-Daughter Baby Dillan comes to visit in the afternoons.....We grab her from the car seat and we grab our Iphones and we head back to the Master Suite and flop down on our New Wonderful Memory Foam Mattress! We have a little collection of toys and we just PLAY and PLAY....Until Dillan falls asleep or until Beau or Kim come to pick her up!!! Both of which always make us a wee bit sad! As you can see from the pictures, she's just alot of Baby Fun! Today we all watched the Baseball College World Series up in Omaha, Nebraska, listened to Toddler Tunes and folded some laundry! She'll be back tomorrow because Beau has a few bids to do! Yeah!!!

THEY WERE AS GRUMPY AS THE SOUP NAZI FROM JERRY SEINFELD'S SHOW....WHEN MEG ORDERED FRIES, THEY SNAPPED "NO FRIES, CHIPS" AND GAVE HER A DIRTY LOOK! BILLY GOAT'S IS UNDER GROUND AND WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE! I HAD A FABULOUS STEAK AT THE FAMOUS GIBSON'S STEAK HOUSE AND I ATE AT PRESIDENT OBAMA'S FAVORITE RESTAURANT BUT.....BUT....MY FAVORITE CHICAGO MEAL WAS "THE CHEEZEBORGER" FROM BILLY GOAT'S!!!!!

THIS WAS THE SECOND TIME WE HAD THE PLEASURE OF TOURING A GREAT MUSEUM OF ART WITH TIM...WHILE IN LOS ANGELES LAST FALL, WE ALL WENT TO THE GETTY MUSEUM!

THE FAMOUS MILTON BRADLEY GAME!!!!

How many of you can say you went to a National League game & American League game at the same time? We were rooting for the "Twins" because one of Stephen's pitchers from his Rotisserie League....was pitching for Minnesota, Kevin Slowey! Because of Slowey's great skills....Stephen was once again in first place! He's been in a Baseball Rotisserie League every year since 1985!

Stephen went into the game early and Tim gave Meg and I a great tour of all the "happening" places around Wrigley Field! Including where Tim lived a few years back!

Handsome Tim Root was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota...The Minnesota Twins beat the Chicago Cubs right in front of his eyes!! Eating peanuts at a baseball game is a "must do"!!!


You may or may not know that Stephen lives and breathes to go see baseball games...I usually don't attend with him! He was really excited to have me accompany him to a major league baseball game!!!


I got the impression that the Cub fans don't like the St. Louis Cardinals??


Between the tickets, parking, hotdogs, peanuts, nachos, beer & soda pop... and then the souvenirs! T-shirts, flags, ball caps etc....four people going to a Cub game isn't cheap! Thanks to a certain someone who had connections! Our big purchase was a new "Cub" outfit for Baby Dillan!


Millions of Cub Fans donate money to have their personnel brick become a part of Cub history! Pretty Cool!!!!! However, upon closer observation...check out Skye's & Dad's 1st Cub Game brick?? Can you have a brick for a game that hasn't even been played...guess so!


A popular Cub t-shirt! I bought one for everyone of my blogger fans!!!


Moxie...means energy, pep, courage & determination! Amongst the thousands of "pubs" and cafes that surround Wrigley Field...we settled down at Moxie's while the crowds dissipated! We were lucky to get a patio seat so we could do some serious people watching!

And who came walking down the boulevard in search of Stephen...Billy Cub himself!



WHAT A GREAT DAY!!!!

FIRST MORNING IN CHICACO!

We all headed over to Wrigley Field after breakfast on the "Red Line" to see the Twins play the Cubs...with much anticipation, I might add!!!! It was a beautiful sunny day in Chicago, we couldn't have asked for better weather or more enthusiasm from all the Cub Fans and the Twin Fans!



I had seen Megan last month in LA....BUT... Meg and Stephen had not been together since Christmas...it was ever so special seeing them reunite!!!!!


The Tempo Cafe was highly reccommended! We had fun eating someone else's omlette! We had fun catching up in person!


Breakfast was delightful and while we waited for our table, we sat in the most charming park...everywhere we went in Chicago...we encountered very special parks and gardens!

This was Thursday night after we all had arrived! The handsome Tim Root and the Adorable Megan Taylor flew into O'Hare not long after us! The reunion was full of happy tears and lots of laughter! We all went to President Obama's favorite restaurant! It was delicious! Loving it all...Chicago is our kind of town!

STEPHEN WEIGHS 92.2 KILOGRAMS!!! WOW!

Stephen spent over two hours up at St John's Hospital getting a E.K.G., xrays, blood work, meeting with Doctors etc.....All in preparation for his knee replacement surgery! He's scheduled for Monday June 29th! A knee replacement cost almost 31 thousand dollars! Shout out to all you young people....take good care of your knees! Or get really good insurance!

HE'S STILL LIVING HAPPILY EVER AFTER WITH MEGAN AND HANDSOME TIM! HE JUST CELEBRATED MEG'S BIRTHDAY! I was down at the Warner Brother's Lot in Burbank sitting on a lawn chair, reading a book under a shade tree near the fountain....along with alot of other Moms! A camera and film crew were taking pictures of these young good looking people...the other Moms and I watched with great interest...we decided NONE of them were recognizable as far as TV or film stars....being noisy, we asked! We were told they were taking pictures for a possible sit-com that may, or may not be picked up by the networks! Well, we all know what happened after that....FRIENDS!

HOW DID BEAU TAYLOR BECOME A FAMOUS MOVIE STAR??????

Back when Beau was in high school....Mother's Day 1993...Beau got a call from his football coach asking if he could go up to the school...I drove him up and dropped him off! Coach was shooting hoops with THE Steven Spielberg!! He was hand picked by Steven Spielberg to play the double of "Spike" in the movie Little Giants! When you saw "Spike" play football, you were really watching Beau Taylor pull off those savy gridiron moves! He wore the Cowboy Football Uniform for four months... down on the Warner Bros Lot in Burbank California! It was filmed during the school year so he was "schooled" in a trailer on the lot! Can you believe it? Beau is actually a SAG member! It's a fun movie and it has a special place in our hearts!

Strolling To The Park...Woodward Park!

Strolling a brisk few minutes from our humble abode, I can enter the closest thing to heaven near our home! Woodward Park! I've really have enjoyed showing Dillan such a peaceful outdoor paradise! We stop every few yards in her stroller so she can see some of nature's best! Flowers! And lush green...always a soft comforting breeze... Aromas of springtime! On Wednesdays we can visit my friend Kerri who volunteers at the Tulsa Garden Gift Shoppe!


Our Son Beau and his precious family live right across from Woodward Park! When they look out their front window....this is what they see! A giant bronze statue of an Indian on his horse! Pretty cool! And they see the magnificent park too!


AND I SAY TO MYSELF....WHAT A WONDERFUL LIFE!
....SO MAYBE IT'S TIME TO REALLY TELL YOU ABOUT OUR GEM OF A PARK!

Woodward Park Is In Our Neck Of The Woods...

We live less that two blocks from Woodward Park! How lucky are we? I'll tell you!
Woodward Park is 45 acres....Boasting a wide variety of horticulture delights! Including...rock gardens, an English herb garden, a terraced Italian Renaissance rose garden (over 9,000 rose bushes), a Victorian conservatory (Lord & Burnham), a three acre arboretum and an azalea garden featuring over 15,000 azaleas! Ponds, quaint little bridges arching over the babbling brooks, picnic tables and benches strategically placed to make you feel serene with nature! The now famous Linnaeus teaching garden is new and absolutely gorgeous...with waterfalls...it features plants that are native to these parts and easily adapted into your own back yard! An old mansion that is now the headquarters of the Tulsa Garden Society....also the cutest little gift store! The Tulsa Historical Society (another old mansion that was recently renovated) is also attached to Woodward Park with fascinating exhibits and stunning artwork! That's how lucky we are!
If you live in Tulsa or just passing through on old Route 66.....stop and spend a bit of time in a very tranquil place! Woodward Park! Oh, and don't forget to look us up!

Who's that good looking guy in the center of the picture? Everyone's favorite "corner man" BEAU TAYLOR!!!!!
Beau traveled up to St Louis to be the corner man for his good friend Jake Sheilds! They became best friends while wrestling in college on the central coast! In front of 8,867 UFC fans....Beau helped Shields win his 12th victory in a row!
Beau was just recently signed by the famous Dale "Apollo" Cook to announce all the fights on TV & Radio in this area of the country! Look for him on ESPN next! He also goes by "ONE MAN ARMY"!
