A little Scotty dog gift couldn't have arrived at a better time....our own Scotty dog, Petuka, underwent surgery yesterday to have a tumor removed ... so sad. Thanks for cheering me up!

Fun Birthday Gifts.....

More Birthday roses! I put them in the ceramic pot I made in a high school art class! Umm, that would have been around 1970? 40 years ago!


On a recent trip to Mexico, my niece Morgan picked up this Frida Kahlo beach bag for my Birthday! I'll be sporting it along the Sarosota beaches come next month!


My next door neighbor Pam, who just happens to be celebrating her Birthday today, gave me this amazing musical instrument! Dillan especially enjoyed my Harmonica skills!


Nephew Max gave me this funky compact mirror to tote in my purse!

Yesterday we spent a lot of time getting ready for a ice/snow storm! We got the generator out in case we loose power! The snow shovel is ready! We joined the masses @ the grocery store to stock up on yummy "stuck @ home" food! We hit the hardware store for tarps, cans of de-icer, sand bags for the back of Beau's truck, a box of fire starters etc....

Tickle Me Pink Tuesday!

Lynne, Kerri & I enjoyed lunch @ The Blue Moon Cafe on the Restless Ribbon!


Kerri and I got to hear all about Lynne's whirl wind trip to Germany, France & England!


After munching on THE BEST PASTRAMI sandwiches & BLACK EYED PEA SALAD this side of the Mississippi ....we headed out to our cars!


We were in awe of the red sporty convertible Lynne had just bought herself! She looks gorgeous driving this amazing car!


And last, but definitely not least, I popped into the BABY GAP and found this adorable little dress for baby Dillan to wear @ my Valentine making party! I'm going to sew a heart corsage onto the sweet little dress!

MONDAY MADNESS

1. Beau buffs and waxes hardwood floors throughout the house.
2. Burggraf Restoration replaces insulation & puts in new drywall in the bathroom where the pipes burst.
3. Ken's "Picture Perfect Lawn Service" arrives to clean up the yard.
4. Bruce arrives to clean the windows inside & out.
5. Omaira arrives to clean the house @ noon.
6. Stephen anxiously awaits the Apple announcement of their first quarter earnings for 2010.
7. I continue to set up for my Valentine party.

It's A Week Away From Today.... But I Am Already Setting Up!!!

I am so excited to see all of my "Loving" friends" gathering together next Saturday to create beautiful messages of love.... cards for all of those we love dearly! This year I have asked everyone to bring snacks and cool supplies to add to the special day!

I have a very important bet in which the winnings include a luncheon date @ Abuelo's!! A mexican restaurant named after Stephen's "Grandpa" name! Abuelo! It's out south in "any where in America" but that's okay.... we do have to travel outside of our fashionable Utica Square box sometimes! I took the Vikings in honor of my favorite young man in LA.... yep, the handsome Tim Root!


The Super Dome will officially be rocking in New Orleans this weekend. The Vikings and the Saints are squaring off in a titanic battle of elite teams in the NFC. The top two teams from the regular season in the NFC are meeting in what should be a classic game. If you like battles between elite quarterbacks, this game has it. If you like big name running backs that have the ability to leave defender’s ankles broken, you’ve got it here. If you like to see opportunistic defenses that like to take the ball away and sack the quarterback, look no further. The Vikings are currently 3.5 point underdogs against the Saints Sunday. But I don't care! Brett will come through for all of us Viking fans!

This is the most creative card I have ever seen! My dear friend made this card for me with birthday greetings included (yes, my 56th birthday is approaching) ... She sewed & created this amazing card with frabric and I absolutely love it! Thank you D'Anna!


Now I'm wondering if I should set up the sewing machine for this year's annual "Old Fashion" Valentine card making party?

Zoo Escapades!!!!

Beau & I took Dillan to the zoo! It was 64 degrees here and this fine January weather just begged us to go outside! We started out viewing the chimps!


We went inside to the rain forest and had a real treat! This mama sloth and her baby were moving across a branch The baby sloth is asleep on the mama's tummy! A sloth is a slow-moving tropical American mammal that hangs upside down from the branches of trees using its long limbs and hooked claws!


We went into the Earthquake exhibit and got to experience how to it feels to be all shook up!
